We are a community service organization that provides volunteers to help improve the lives of children and familiesi n our community. Welcome to Kiwanis

Since 2011, the Kiwanis Community Garden has provided nearly 1,000 lbs. of fresh produce anually to the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry. Club members prepare, plant, water and harvest produce from early spring into to late fall each year.

Kiwanis International

Kiwanis International (Kiwanis) is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child at a time and one community at a time. Founded in 1915, Kiwanis includes over 445,000 members located in 85 countries. Community based Kiwanis clubs are at the heart of the global organization, with over 4,000 individual adult and youth clubs. Collectively, these clubs:

  • Conduct more than 1.3 million annual community service projects,
  • Dedicate more than 7.7 million volunteer hours,
  • Raise over US$390 million anually, and
  • Sponsor thousands of adult and youth leadership programs.
